Neonicotinoid Bee Loss Lawsuit: Seeking Beekeepers for Legal Action
Greetings Beekeepers,
Neonicotinoids are a class of systemic pesticides that significantly impact honey bee populations by acting as neurotoxins. These chemicals impair bees' central nervous systems, leading to disorientation, reduced foraging ability, and compromised navigation, which are critical factors contributing to colony collapse disorder. The widespread use of neonicotinoid-treated seeds and their persistence in the environment mean bees are exposed through contaminated pollen, nectar, and water sources. This continuous exposure severely impacts bee health and overall agricultural ecosystems.
I am an environmental attorney in Colorado working on a case to help beekeepers who have suffered honey bee losses because of neonicotinoids, specifically the neonic-treated seeds.
To provide a bit of background, I was an educator for 20 years, who returned to school to study law because of my concerns over the increasing degradation of the environment. I was compelled to learn how to use legal pathways to help protect and restore ecosystems and biodiversity. Thus, I was catapulted into the world of law. I currently work at Kresch Legal Services with attorney Ari Kresch, a visionary and changemaker.
I am reaching out because Ari and I are deeply concerned about the impacts of neonicotinoids on ecosystems, including insects and particularly pollinators. Our goal is to help end the pervasive harm caused by neonics by holding the manufacturers of neonic-treated seeds accountable for the loss of bees. Furthermore, we want to expose how the pesticide industry has perpetuated the use of these toxic seeds and other pesticides by cajoling and pressuring scientists, academics, and regulatory agencies to support their chemicals and their billion-dollar industry at the expense of the environment and public health.
We are looking for beekeepers who have suffered lethal and sublethal injuries to their bees and can link the injuries to neonic-treated seeds.

If you fit this description and are able to provide us with information that will help us craft a class action lawsuit against Bayer, Syngenta, and other neonic-treated seed manufacturers, please let me know times that you are available for a zoom chat.
